WELCOME TO THE ICA GENDER EQUALITY COMMITTEE

The Gender Equality Committee of the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA-GEC) is a catalyst for change to make gender equality a reality in all cooperatives and serves as a forum for the discussion and exchange of experiences and ideas on issues related to gender equality. 

Regional networks

All the regions of the ICA have created regional committees or working groups. The ICA-GEC liaises with Regional Committees devoted to gender in order to identify specific goals and how to deliver them.

Gender Equality Committee

Every year, ICA member organizations in good standing shall be eligible to nominate one representative to the ICA-GEC.

To apply for membership, interested ICA member organisations must submit an application to the Secretary and the Chair of the ICA-GEC at least six weeks before the Annual Plenary Meeting.
